1. Clipboard Group:

The Clipboard group allows you to cut, copy, paste, and reuse content.

  • Cut: Removes selected text or objects and places them on the clipboard.
  • Copy: Duplicates the selected text or object to the clipboard.
  • Paste: Inserts the content from the clipboard into the document.
  • Format Painter: Copies the formatting of selected text and applies it to other text.

2. Font Group:

The Font group contains tools for text appearance and formatting.

  • Font Style: Choose the typeface (e.g., Arial, Times New Roman).
  • Font Size: Change the size of the text (e.g., 12pt, 16pt).
  • Increase Font Size: Makes the text larger.
  • Decrease Font Size: Makes the text smaller.

  • Underline: Draws a line under the text.
  • Strikethrough: Draws a line through the middle of the text.

  • Text Effects: Adds shadows, glows, or outlines to text.
  • Text Highlight Color: Highlights text with a specific background color.
  • Font Color: Changes the color of the text.

3. Paragraph Group:

The Paragraph group focuses on alignment, spacing, and organization.

  • Bullets: Creates a bulleted list.
  • Numbering: Creates a numbered list.
  • Multilevel List: Creates lists with multiple levels (e.g., headings, subheadings).
  • Decrease Indent: Moves the paragraph closer to the left margin.
  • Increase Indent: Moves the paragraph farther from the left margin.
  • Sort: Sorts text alphabetically or numerically.
  • Show/Hide: Displays paragraph marks and formatting symbols.
  • Alignment Options:
    • Align Left: Aligns text to the left.
    • Center: Centers the text.
    • Align Right: Aligns text to the right.
    • Justify: Aligns text evenly between the left and right margins.
  • Line and Paragraph Spacing: Adjusts space between lines or paragraphs.
  • Shading: Adds background color to paragraphs.
  • Borders: Adds borders around text or paragraphs.

4. Styles Group:

The Styles group offers predefined formats for text.

  • Styles: A gallery of predefined styles (e.g., Heading 1, Heading 2, Title).
  • Apply Styles: Quickly applies a selected style to the text.

5. Editing Group:

The Editing group provides tools for searching, replacing, and selecting text.

  • Find: Locates specific text within the document.
  • Replace: Substitutes one set of text with another.
  • Select: Selects specific parts of the document (e.g., all text with similar formatting).
